Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Training Program

Welcome to the website for the Duke University Hematology-Medical Oncology Fellowship Program.

Our program offers a flexible, three-year training program in both hematology and oncology, leading to eligibility for board certification in either subspecialty or both.  The training of all fellows combines clinical training with research experience.

The Hematology-Oncology Fellowship program has an average of twenty-one fellows in different stages of training and provides clinical and laboratory training in hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplantation.

Program resources include over 70 full-time faculty in the Divisions of Cell Therapy, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.

The Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center treats over 6,000 new cancer patients each year and is consistently recognized as the top cancer hospital in the southeast.

Outstanding opportunities for multidisciplinary bench to bedside research can be found within the Institute for Genome Policy, the Center for Human Genetics, the Translational Research Institute, the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center and the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center.
